A small archive from a spring basketball tournament. These photos are not only about the games themselves, but also about teammates, recovery, and the kind of ordinary court-side moments that become easier to value over time.
Before the game.
A pre-game moment on the outdoor court with Wang Chenkai, captured by Xu Jingzhou. The late-afternoon light, the court behind us, and the nervous calm before tip-off make this photo feel like a small snapshot of that spring-competitive, noisy, and full of memories.
Rebound battle.
One of my favorite action shots from the tournament, with me in the blue jersey. It captures what I like most about basketball: contact, timing, and the need to commit before the ball even comes down.
Attacking the paint.
I'm going up for a shot with two defenders closing in around me. The motion blur makes the moment feel fast and unfinished, which is exactly what I like about this photo.
Injury and stubbornness.
I landed on someone's foot during the opening tip-off and could barely walk, but I still stayed around the court, trying to shoot threes on one foot while Xu Xishun (Suck) stood beside me in case I fell; the second photo shows me on crutches; after that, I spent the next three months in a wheelchair.
Still shooting.
During PE class, I kept shooting threes from my wheelchair while Chen Hongyi helped rebound for me.
Team photo.
The memory I like most from the tournament is the group around it: practices, pressure, jokes, and the feeling of walking off the court together. This photo keeps that whole period in one frame.
